Some days I need to play hooky!

When it happens in the studio, it looks like this: These items have been roving around my bench top for at least a year now. I gathered them together and started on a journey. Materials are: 3 river rocks I have drilled holes in, a perfectly round gray rock I found on a hike, a cool vintage cut glass button, and a knotty wood heart I found while walking my dogs at the park one morning. I started with the Abacus pendant. The river rocks move freely but are totally contained within the window of the copper....

Puppy Raisers

Ashley is a puppy raiser for Southeastern Guide Dogs (http://www.guidedogs.org). Puppy Raisers give of themselves tirelessly for more than a year so that these wonderful dogs may one day be provided to a visually impaired individual all at no charge. My heart goes out to the people like Ashley, who give of themselves and raise puppy after puppy. I met Ashley when her husband commissioned a charm bracelet with charms for each puppy raised. Everyday is Earth Day

In case you don't know, the actual Earth Day is April 22nd this year, but to me it is every day. When I take my dogs to the park, I'm often inspired by nature. Here are some inspirations come to fruition. Fall Leaves I have made all sorts of leaf jewelry. Here are some oak and maple leaf earrings. They are made of copper with sterling bails and ear wires.
